This grant provides up to USD 4,000 to eligible students for each of the third and fourth year of study. The students are also required to maintain an accumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0.

TEACH Grant

It is one of the grants for teachers which gives up to USD 4,000 per year to students who intend to teach in schools serving students from low income families. After receiving this grant you are required to teach for at least 4 academic years over a period of 8 years in schools that serve students from low income families. If you fail to honor your commitment the grant amount will be turned in to an unsubsidized federal loan.

Academic Competitiveness Grant

This grant is given to the recipient of the Pell grant only if the combination of both these do not exceed the course fees. Under this grant, students are eligible for USD 750 for the first year of study and USD 1,300 for the second year of study. Like all other government grants you need to fill an application form and need to be a US citizen or eligible non citizen.

Education grants are helping students across America and it is advisable to apply for them, even if you think the process is complicated.
